Important Voter Information

Voters who are not currently registered are reminded that pre-registration for the May primary has passed. However, two other options exist. Voters may come to the Elections Office and same-day register and absentee vote, or they may register on Election Day, May 27, at their precinct polling location.

Election Day registration and same-day registration when voting absentee require photo identification with the voter's current residence. If the voter's photo identification does not show their current address, the voter must bring a piece of mail addressed to them at their current address.

Those wishing to vote absentee by mail may download and print absentee ballot request forms at http://www.canyonco.org/elections/forms/absentee.pdf. Completed requests for absentee ballots must be received in the Elections Office at 1102 E. Chicago, in Caldwell, no later than 5 p.m., May 21.

Those wishing to vote absentee at the Elections Office may do so during regular business hours until May 23. The Elections Office will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. May 26 (Memorial Day).

Registered voters can go online to find their polling location at www.idahovotes.gov. Simply click on "Where do I vote?" and follow the instructions. Canyon County residents who are not currently registered and those without internet access can call the Canyon County Elections Office at 454-7562 to find their polling location.
