Canyon County Paramedics will host a grand opening of their new station in Wilder, as well as open houses at three other stations in Canyon County to kick off National EMS Week.

The events will all be May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and feature food, tours and a variety of activities for adults and children.

The new station in Wilder is inside the Wilder Fire Station, at 111 2nd St., and the open house will include the Wilder Fire Department, which will showcase its trucks and equipment as well.

Other ambulance stations hosting open houses are: Station 1, 1222 North Midland Blvd., Nampa; Station 2, 1920 Ellis Ave., Caldwell and Station 5, 301 6th St. North, Nampa.

Each open house will feature blood pressure checks, food and beverages, emergency medical equipment displays and demonstrations, ambulance tours, station tours, emergency personnel, stickers and coloring books.
