Mission

Canyon County Parks, Recreation and Waterways is dedicated to preserving the cultural and natural resources of our County as recreational and educational resources for our citizens and visitors.

Park visitors will find a wide array of educational and recreational opportunities.  Our educational programs span kindergarten curricula through university post-graduate studies.  Recreational choices range from hiking to fishing, boating to horseback riding.  There is something for everyone at our Canyon County Parks.

Visit our Facilities through the links provided.  You will find detailed information about each park.  We also feature links to other Treasure Valley recreational sites to help our citizens and visitors enjoy all this area has to offer!

National Park Service Recognition

The National Park Service published an article regarding the Boise River Trail partner's guide highlighting the health benefits of community trails. If you would like to read the full article, please click this link.
