Canyon County Sheriff's Office
Field Services of the Canyon County Sheriff's Office include the Patrol, Investigations and Communications Sections. These Sections are under the direction of Captain Dana Maxfield. Captain Dana Maxfield holds a POST Management Certificate and is a graduate of the prestigious Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command College.

Each of the three sections making of Field Services is managed by highly trained and experienced ranking Deputies.
The Patrol Section is the most visible section of the Canyon County Sheriff's Office. This section is managed by Lieutenant Daren Ward. He holds a POST Management Certificate and is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command College.

Our detectives work in the Criminal Investigations Section. It is managed by Lieutenant Marvin Dashiell. He also holds a POST Management Certificate and is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command College.

Our Communications Section (dispatch) is managed by Lorraine Elfering. She holds a POST Management Certificate and has attended numerous training opportunities in employee development and evaluation as well as project management.
