The Canyon County Board of Commissioners met with members of the Idaho Department & Chief Joseph Chapter 509 of the Military Order of the Purple Heart on December 7, 2018 to officially proclaim Canyon County as a Purple Heart County.  The members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart presented Commissioners with a sign to display in the Courthouse to remind and encourage citizens to show their appreciation for the sacrifices our Purple Heart recipients and their families have made in defending our freedoms.  The full proclamation can be found below.
