The following is an excerpt from the Idaho Statutes Statutes 31-3205
The county recorder is allowed, and may receive for his services, the following fees, to be paid him by the party procuring his services. Recorder Fees
On the first page of your document, it is imperative to provide a 3″ x 3″ blank space for our recording stamp.
All instruments delivered to the county recorder for record shall be recorded rather than filed with the exception of plats, surveys, cornerstone markers and instruments under the Uniform Commercial Code.
For all other services as recorder, not enumerated herein, the fee fixed in the statute requiring the service or the same fee as allowed the clerk of the district court for like service.
A page shall not exceed fourteen (14) inches in length nor eight and one-half (8 1/2) inches in width. Each page shall be typewritten or be in legible writing. The recording fee to be charged for maps, sketches, drawings or other instruments except plats larger than the size permitted above for a page shall be two cents (2¢) per square inch.
What may be Recorded?
Any instrument or judgment affecting the title to or possession of real property may be recorded under chapter 55-801. (Idaho Statute 55-801 )

- Microfilm and Microfiche Readers are available for public use in our office
Documents from 1983 – Present are available in digital format.
- Public Terminals are available in the Recorder’s Office for viewing these records
- An index or list of documents from 1983 – Present can be accessed on-line. However, the actual image cannot be accessed on-line. You must go to the Recorder’s Office to view the actual image.
