The Canyon County Mosquito Abatement District is reporting two more positive West Nile Virus tests. Both of these results came from one trap located at Caldwell Ponds, Idaho State Department of Fish and Game fishing area. The trap contained 285 Culex mosquitoes. CCMAD started West Nile Virus response in this area over the weekend and will continue through the next couple of days. Follow-up testing will be conducted later in the week. This is the fourth reported West Nile Virus test for Canyon County. Follow-up testing on the previous announced locations on Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge and Parma have returned negative West Nile Virus activity.
