Canyon County Commissioners Thursday signed a lease agreement with Rep. Walt Minnick, which will provide Minnick with office space inside the courthouse beginning Sept. 1.
 
Monthly rent on the 100-square-foot space will be $246.89. The location of Minnick’s Canyon County Office will be inside the courthouse lobby, where it will be accessible to all visitors of the courthouse.
 
“This is a really good relationship, and for the county to have a Congressional office close at hand will benefit the county and our residents. I hope Rep. Minnick’s successor, whether it be in two years, four years or 10 years, will consider leasing this space so we can have this relationship in the future,” said Commissioner Steve Rule.
