The County provides an opportunity for individuals to recycle various materials at the landfill. The following items are collected for recycling:
Newspaper
Magazines
Aluminum cans
Tin Cans
Bulk metal and appliances
Refrigerators
Lead Acid Batteries
Used motor oil
Diesel
Gasoline
Antifreeze
Clean wood material
Passenger and Light truck tires
The following wastes will be accepted but must be placed in an area designated by the Waste Screener on duty:
Lead acid car and truck batteries
Four (4) passenger and light truck tires for an additional fee of $2.00 each in addition to your weight.
Up to 5 gallons of Latex and Lead Based Paints.
Refrigeration units with or without compressors containing freon or oil. A fee of $15.00 per unit is charged in addition to your weight.
Up to 3 gallons of used motor oils from residents only. Oil will not be accepted from commercial sources.
Up to 3 gallons of used antifreeze will be accepted from residents only.
Up to 5 gallons of old gasoline or diesel fuels will be accepted from residents.
Clean wood wastes are accepted for a reduced fee of $12.00/ton.

Regulated Asbestos Containing Material (RACM) is accepted for a fee of $50.00/ton with prior notification and proper Waste Shipment Record documentation.
