The Canyon County Board of Commissioners voted today to extend the local COVID-19 disaster emergency declarationpdf for an additional 30 days. The local emergency declaration is intended to supplement and complement Governor Little and the State of Idaho’s actions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure that all potential responses and resources are available to Canyon County. Prior to extending the local emergency declaration, the Commissioners noted that the epidemiology reports from Southwest District Health support moving to Stage 2 of the Statewide reopening plan in Canyon County, and how the County appreciates the collaborative efforts of all of its cities and partner agencies as they work together to meet the challenges ahead.
