Our office will stop accepting walk-in customers if customer volume exceeds the staff’s ability to serve them prior to closing.
The Assessor acts as a vendor for the Idaho State Transportation Department and provides a more convenient location for Canyon County residents to handle vehicle transactions.

Our office is now offering appointments. Additional appointments may be released daily depending on our customer flow. We encourage you to check after 10am to see if new appointments have been made available. Scheduled appointments will take priority over walk-in customers.
Walk in customers may have a wait time in excess of 2 hours depending on the day. Walk-in customers are encouraged to come mid-week before 11am or after 2pm. The best way to avoid any wait time is to schedule an appointment by clicking the black button below.
Parks & Recreation
Canyon County is not issuing registrations for boats, off-highways, snowmobiles, and boats except for restricted-use plates and boat trailers. Our office is still processing titles for these vehicles/vessels. To obtain registrations, please visit Idaho Departments of Parks and Recreation.
