Pursuant to the Idaho Supreme Court’s April 22, 2020 Order: In Re: Emergency Reduction in Court Services and Limitation of Access to Court Facilities, effective May 1, 2020, courts in Canyon County will be expanding the types of court hearings and proceedings that will be heard. However, many proceedings will not require parties or counsel to appear in person at the courthouse. Parties are urged to contact their attorney to determine the nature of any scheduled hearing or proceeding.
Please check the County’s online daily court schedule or the iCourt Portal if you believe you may have a hearing scheduled on a given day. If you have a question about any upcoming hearing or court date, please call the Canyon Clerk’s Office at (208) 454-7571.
If you are scheduled to attend a court proceeding in person at the courthouse or if you come to the courthouse to conduct court business, you must:
- Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth;
- Maintain an appropriate social distance of at least six (6) feet from all persons not living in your household; and
- Comply with all court orders restricting the number of persons that may gather together.
The Clerk provides clerical support for the courts and is responsible for the processing and maintenance of all court case filings. This office provides in-court clerks who support judges in the commission of their duties.
