The following information is in accordance with The Canyon County Alcoholic Beverage License Ordinance, Chapter 5, Article 1.

Important notice we made changes to the ALCOHOL APPLICATIONS and instructions. Please make sure to download the new versions and follow all directions. See: Liquor License Instructionspdf

**Effective 05/18/2023 the signature on the applications no longer needs to be notarized.

To apply for a Canyon County Alcohol Beverage License, please include all items per applicable section listed below:

Renewal-This application allows license holders to renew their Canyon County Liquor license. All license will expire on May 31 of every year.  Please remit the following:

  • Complete Alcohol Renewal License Application pdf
    • If adding new officer(s), member(s), partner(s), director(s), stockholder(s) and/or business manager(s) also complete and submit the Renewal Supplement form pdf along with your Renewal form.
  • Copy of your State of Idaho Alcohol Beverage License (new upcoming year).
  • Appropriate fees (see fee schedule within the application or on the instructions).
    • Make all checks payable to Canyon County Recorder.

New – This application is available to allow license holder to distribute, possess for resale, or sell liquor, wine, and/or beer.

  • Complete New, Transfer or Change in Application pdf
  • Copy of your State of Idaho Alcohol Beverage License
  • Copy of the Lease Agreement or ownership documents such as Deeds.
  • Map of the premise (Premise is a building in which the sale of alcohol is consumed)
  • Appropriate fees (see fee schedule within the application or on the instructions).
    • Make checks payable to Canyon County Recorder.

Transferring – This application allows the license holder to transfer the license either to a new owner or a new location/premise. Please remit the following:

  • Complete New, Transfer or Change in Application (see above link)
  • The original Canyon County license from previous owner or location/premise.
  • Copy of your State of Idaho Alcohol Beverage License
  • Copy of the Lease Agreement or ownership documents such as Deeds
  • Map of the premise (Premise is a building in which the sale of alcohol is consumed)
  • Appropriate fees (see fee schedule within the application on the instructions).
    • Make all checks payable to Canyon County Recorder.

Change in applicationUse this form if outside of renewal season. This form allows you meet the County requirements of notifying the County of the changes to your license (such as: change in officers, change of type of alcohol sold, change in doing business name, or change in mailing address). Please remit the following:

  • Complete New, Transfer or Change in Application (see above link)
  • Copy of your State of Idaho Alcohol Beverage License
  • Map of the premise (Premise is a building in which the sale of alcohol is consumed)
  • Appropriate fees (see fee schedule within the application or on the instructions).
    • Make all checks payable to Canyon County Recorder.

Applications lacking information, supporting documents and fees will be returned to the applicant for completion. This will cause delays in the processing of licenses.
