Canyon County Juvenile Probation Division Supervisor, Jose Orozco, has been awarded the 2017 Commitment to Service Award from the Idaho Juvenile Justice Association. Orozco has served as a probation officer for 15 years. He has vastly improved the operations of the Canyon County Juvenile Probation Department while serving in the role of supervisor over the last 4 years. As a supervisor, he has been a great mentor to staff members, has a willingness to learn and increase his knowledge of best practices in the field and readily shares his knowledge with the department. He has improved staff morale with his positive teamwork attitude, constant encouragement. and being available to staff and families even when off-duty. Orozco is a strong advocate for youth and families and works tirelessly to protect the community by holding youth accountable and instilling skills to help them become productive citizens.
