The Canyon County Parks, Cultural & Natural Resources Department announced today that campfires will be prohibited at Martin Landing beginning Friday, August 5, until further notice. There will be “no campfire” signs placed around Martin Landing and the on-site camp host will help ensure people are following the ban. Propane camp stoves for cooking will still be allowed while the campfire ban is in effect.
Martin Landing is located at the end of Scott Pit Road at the confluence of the Snake and Boise rivers near Parma. It offers ten vehicle-accessible campsites and five additional hike-in tent camping sites along the river. All areas are on a first-come, first-served basis.
The fire danger at Martin Landing remains very high to extreme, so visitors are asked to please adhere to the campfire ban to help protect the campsites and surrounding areas.
