The Canyon Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Erasmo Alcala Diaz, the 51-year-old Mexican national wanted on a felony warrant for killing his girlfriend at their home near Wilder on June 11, 2015.  Detectives say Diaz shot 39-year-old Amparo Godinez Sanchez multiple times inside the couple’s home on Red Top Road while children were present.  He then fled the scene before authorities arrived and later abandoned his vehicle shortly after the crime near Adrian, OR, where he is known to have family and friends in the area.  The location of the abandoned vehicle is also Diaz’s last known location.
